The American Revolution was the revolution of the 13 Colonies of Colonial America against Britian and their monarch King George III.

Before the Revolution
Before the French and Indian War (1754-1716) otherwise known as the 'Seven Years War' took place, Britain had neglected its 13 American colonies. After the Revolution
After the revolutionary war, the British Army made an agreement with colonists to leave all American territories. The taxes applied by the British on products such as tea and sugar was lifted allowing the United States to trade freely with other countries. A new democratic government was established by the colonists which allowed the American citizens to vote for their government. ("Overview," n.d.)
